The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded the Sjöberg Prize 2020 jointly to Prof. Michael N. Hall, Biozentrum of the University of Basel, and Prof. David M. Sabatini, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. The two scientists receive this international award for their discovery of mTOR and its role in the control of cell metabolism and growth.
Michael Hall mit dem Sjöberg-Preis 2020 ausgezeichnet
Die Königlich Schwedische Akademie der Wissenschaften verleiht den Sjöberg-Preis 2020 gemeinsam an Prof. Michael Hall vom Biozentrum der Universität Basel und Prof. David Sabatini vom Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). Die beiden Wissenschaftler erhalten die internationale Auszeichnung für ihre Entdeckung von mTOR und dessen Rolle bei der Kontrolle von Zellwachstum und Zellstoffwechsel.
