Another wonderful result of a fruitful NCCR RNA & Disease collaboration between the Ban at ETH Zurich and the Schneider Group at the University of Bern has just been published in Molecular Cell: Structure of two unique assembly intermediates, 28 identified assembly factors, supportive biochemical RNAi knockdowns and much more in “Structural insights into the mechanism of mitochondrial large subunit biogenesis”!
