The SNSF announced the outcome of the evaluation of the projects submitted for the SNSF Advanced Grant scheme, which is the Swiss replacement of the ERC Advanced Grants scheme. 24 projects were awarded funding, of which 3 are from NCCR RNA & Disease member and associate member labs. We congratulate Ulrike Kutay, Peter Scheiffele and Karsten Weis for being awarded SNSF Advanced Grants!!!
The Kutay lab's project is on "Mechanisms governing nuclear proteostasis in mammalian cells", the Scheiffele lab will research "Control of molecular differentiation programs by spontaneous activity in neocortical development " and the Weis lab will study "SIROP - Stress-induced re-organization through phase separation in physiology, ageing and disease ".
Each of the three projects will receive 2.1 Million CHF in funding over 5 years.
